The series was created by <b><a href='http://www.tvrage.com/person/id-9506' target='_blank'>Agnes Nixon</a></b> (also the creator of other historic daytime serial <b><i><a href='http://www.tvrage.com/shows/id-4719' target='_blank'>One Life to Live</a></i></b>), and currently airs at 1:00 P.M. (12:00 P.M. Central Time). The series has won the Daytime Emmy for <b>Outstanding Drama Series</b> in 1992, 1994, and 1998.
