Air Crash Investigation - Fire on Board Season 1 Episode 3

On September 2, 1998, the crew noticed a strange smell. They thought it was a problem with the ventilation devices and ignored it. Minutes later, the fire damaged some devices and the crew declared "Pan-Pan-Pan", which means almost emergency, and requested an emergency landing on Halifax international Airport. Some minutes later, the crew lost all the control of the plane and crashed in the sea killing everybody. What caused this fire?
