PBS American Experience - Grand Central Season 20 Episode 2
A look at the construction of the Grand Central Terminal in New York City back in 1913. Some 200 buildings were demolished and nearly 3 million cubic yards of rocks and dirt was moved, plus over 25 miles of pipe line for sewer and water was relocated. The documentary also details how a 1902 train accident that resulted in the deaths of 17 people spurred the project.
