When Peter discovers that their house is not part of Quahog, or even the United States, he forms his own country: Petoria. However when he feels that he is not being respected as a country, he invades Joe's pool. This worries the US, and they stage a war with Petoria, cutting the Griffin's off from heat, water, and electricity. Lois and the kids abandon Petoria, while Peter is stubborn and calls in support from other countries.
